Michael Meno (Pacific - 2011)

Michael has been a Guam school administrator for six years; two years as Assistant Principal at M.U. Lujan Elementary School and the past four years as principal for a Guam elementary school. Through his time as a school leader, Michael has served on numerous committees such as the Administration Evaluation Committee, the School Calendar Committee, the Grievance Committee, the District Action Plan Committee, the Leadership Academy Committee, and the Standards and Assessment Committee.

Michael has also taught at all three levels of school: elementary, middle, and high school. Most of his teaching experience was at Inarajan Middle School. While at Inarajan Middle School, Michael served as English as a Second Language Coordinator, 8th Grade Club Advisor, National Junior Honor Society Advisor, Accreditation Focus Group Leader,and Volleyball and Soccer Coach.

Michael has been commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserve and has been promoted to First Lieutenant. In his military service he has completed the Air & Space Basic and Contingency War Planning courses. In addition, Michael has served as Officer in Charge of the Support Flight in the 44th Aerial Port Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base. Michael has been providing leadership and service to his school and his country, both in the capacity as School Principal and Officer in Charge of Mission and Operations. He has demonstrated pride and commitment in both capacities. Michael has continually grown personally and professionally and is constantly on the move for great things.
